Democratic Policing and Negotiation — series overview
This research series examines how dialogue can support peaceful assembly while police meet legitimate public-safety duties. Its four published instalments consider comparative models, police ethics and force, early initiatives in Türkiye, and May Day in Taksim. The central finding is that training and negotiation mechanisms need institutional continuity, transparency and accountability; dialogue must never become a condition for exercising a fundamental right.
- Negotiation in public-order policing
- Police intervention, use of force and ethical responsibility
- Early initiatives in Türkiye, 2009–2012
- May Day in Taksim and institutional rupture
Each article page identifies its web text and available full PDF. The series overview is provided in five languages; this does not imply that every research PDF has five complete translations.
