The Maydanoz Döner Operation: Economic and Social Exclusion of KHK-Dismissed Individuals
On 2 March 2025, SRL Swiss submitted information to the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) concerning the operation against Maydanoz Döner and its broader impact on individuals dismissed from public service by emergency decrees (KHK). The submission highlighted concerns that employment and business relationships involving KHK-dismissed individuals were being treated as grounds for criminal investigation.
SRL Swiss argued that such practices risk deepening the economic and social exclusion of affected individuals by discouraging employers from hiring them and restricting their ability to participate in ordinary commercial life. The submission also referred to the rights to work, private and family life, and protection from discrimination under international human rights standards.
