ABOUT US

SRL Swiss – Security Studies and Rule of Law Association is an independent, non-profit civil society organisation established in Geneva, Switzerland, in January 2023.

The association was founded by individuals who experienced persecution, injustice and serious violations of fundamental rights in Türkiye. Transforming these experiences into constructive human rights work, SRL Swiss seeks to ensure that violations are documented, affected individuals and communities are heard, and the principles of justice and accountability are strengthened.

SRL Swiss promotes and defends human rights, fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law worldwide. Its work includes monitoring and documenting violations, reviewing legal and institutional materials, conducting research, preparing evidence-based reports and submissions, and engaging in national and international advocacy. The association cooperates with civil society organisations, legal professionals, researchers, United Nations mechanisms, European institutions and other relevant stakeholders.

Alongside its human rights work, SRL Swiss supports the social participation and integration of individuals and families who have settled in Switzerland after experiencing persecution or forced displacement. Through community meetings, solidarity activities, information exchange, guidance and cooperation with relevant institutions, the association seeks to help individuals and families participate actively and confidently in their new society.

SRL Swiss carries out its activities in accordance with its statutes and Swiss law, guided by independence, impartiality, non-discrimination, transparency, confidentiality, data protection and respect for human dignity.
