Follow-up Submission to Amnesty International Türkiye – Yalçınkaya Judgment
On 30 October 2023, SRL Swiss submitted a follow-up communication to Amnesty International’s Türkiye Branch concerning previously raised human rights concerns and the Grand Chamber judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in Yüksel Yalçınkaya v. Türkiye.
The submission highlighted the Court’s findings under Articles 6, 7 and 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights and drew attention to the broader significance of the judgment for individuals facing similar proceedings in Türkiye.
SRL Swiss requested that the Yalçınkaya judgment, together with the human rights concerns previously communicated to Amnesty International, be appropriately reflected in its 2023/24 annual report and future monitoring of Türkiye.
