Our Work

SRL Swiss — the Security Studies and Rule of Law Association — promotes human rights, fundamental freedoms and the rule of law through documentation, research and advocacy. We also support social participation and integration in Switzerland.

Human Rights Monitoring

We monitor and document human rights concerns, drawing on available records, testimonies and other relevant sources. Our work seeks to make violations visible and bring the experiences of affected individuals and communities to public and institutional attention.

Rule of Law & Judicial Independence

We examine concerns relating to judicial independence, fair trial rights and arbitrary detention. Through research and reporting, we promote respect for legal safeguards, accountability and equal access to justice.

Torture & Ill-Treatment

We document concerns about torture, ill-treatment and detention conditions. Our reports highlight the importance of prevention, effective investigation and accountability, and contribute information to relevant international human rights mechanisms.

International Advocacy

We prepare reports and submissions for United Nations human rights mechanisms and engage with relevant international forums. Our aim is to bring documented concerns to the attention of decision-makers and encourage effective follow-up.

Integration & Community Support

Alongside our human rights work, we support the social participation of individuals and families who have settled in Switzerland after experiencing persecution or forced displacement. Through information-sharing, community activities and cooperation with relevant institutions, we seek to strengthen solidarity and participation in society.
